An Egyptian city nicknamed the Bride of Upper Egypt, located in Middle Egypt in northern Upper Egypt on the west bank of the Nile River.
These areas include Pharaonic, Islamic, Coptic, and tourist sites in various centers of Minya, Mallawi, Beni Mazar, Beni Hassan, and Deir Mawas.
Mallawi Museum Established in 1962, it houses numerous artifacts from various eras, including the Pharaonic, Greek, and Roman periods. It has four halls for artifacts extracted from Tuna el-Gebel, Ashmunayn, and Mir, as well as some artifacts from the Old Kingdom and Amarna periods. It consists of two floors.
Tell el-AmarnaTell el-Amarna is located 15 kilometers northeast of Der-Mawas. It was built by Akhenaten and his wife Nefertiti. It served as the capital of Egypt during the New Kingdom, and is home to the world’s first realistic art school, known as “Amarna Art.”
